BNP men move to Golapbagh with processions

Since the break of dawn, BNP supporters have been moving in procession toward the venue while yelling slogans and waving paddy sheaves and placards.

At 8:30 in the morning on Saturday, it is seen that BNP leaders and activists are taking positions on the road that leads from Kamalapur Stadium to Basabo for roughly 1.5 kilometers.

The Golapbagh ground and its surroundings areas already packed with thousands of people, even though the mass rally won't start until 11:00am on Saturday.

The Golapbagh field, where the BNP is scheduled to conduct its divisional rally, has been flooded with thousands of BNP leaders and activists.
BNP workers, however, said that they encountered difficulties en route to the rally.

In the neighborhood, there are a number of police checkpoints with a huge number of police personnel.

Finally, Friday afternoon, the BNP received approval for its protest rally at the ground.

Since BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee member Mirza Abbas, and other top leaders were sent to jail on Friday in a case filed over Wednesday's clash between the BNP men and police in Naya Paltan, BNP standing committee member Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain is likely to attend the rally as the chief guest.
