11-party alliance formed

The official introduction of the new political platform "Jatiyatabadi Samamona Jote," led by the BNP was formed on Wednesday.

Fariduzzaman Farhad, head of the National People's Party (NPP) and organizer of the new alliance, made the announcement at a news conference held at the Jatiya Press Club.

According to Farhad, the alliance was created in order to support the concurrent anti-government movement, develop Bangladesh with the aspirations of its citizens, and end the nation's political dilemma.

NPP, Jagpa (Khandkar Lutfur), DL, Bangladesh NAP, Bikalpa Dhara (Nurul Amin), Samyabadi Dal, Gono Dal, NAP-Bhasani, Islami Oikya Jote, People's League, and Bangladesh Minority Janata Party are the parties that make up the new coalition.

Farhad added that the alliance will join the concurrent movement supporting both the 27-point structural reform proposed by the BNP to fix the country's broken state structure and the 10-point demand.

The formation of the new alliance occurs just four days after the introduction of a 12-party coalition on December 22 with 12 parties of a 20-party alliance.

The 12 parties were the Islamic Party, Kalyan Party, Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafar), Jatiya Democratic Party-JAGPA (Tasmia Pradhan), Bangladesh LDP, NDP, LDP (Salim), Muslim League, Jamiat-e-Ulamae Islam, Islami Oikya Jote, and Samyabadi Dal.

Samyabadi Dal and Islami Oikyajot are included in the two new partnerships.

Amanullah Aman and Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, members of the BNP Standing Committee, were present at the news conference.
