Khaleda Zia visits hospital for checkup

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will go to Evercare Hospital in the city for her regular health checkup.

The former prime minister will move to hospital around 3:00pm on Monday, Khaleda's personal physician and also vice chairman of the party AZM Zahid Hossain told the media.

The BNP leader last went to the hospital on August 22 of last year.

The 77-year-old former prime minister also has severe health difficulties, including liver cirrhosis.

She suffered a heart attack the previous year, necessitating a stent. She has poor hemoglobin, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease.

The BNP leader was found guilty and sentenced to prison in 2018 as a consequence of a corruption prosecution.
