Zahangir Alam expelled from AL permanently

Zahangir Alam, former mayor of Gazipur City Corporation, has been expelled permanently from the Awami League, said a press release signed by party’s office secretary Biplab Barua.

The release said the party's central executive committee expelled Zahangir for life following party charter.

The expulsion order will come into effect immediately, it added.
