BNP-Jamaat’s conspiracy to be thwarted: A.K. Azad

Faridpur district Awami League adviser A.K. Azad said that the conspiracy against the country plotted by BNP-Jamaat men will be resisted collectively through waging movement on the streets.

He came up with the assertion while addressing a protest rally against the threat made by BNP leader to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Faridpur district Awami League and its affiliated organisations held the rally on Brahmasamaj Road in Faridpur town on Sunday afternoon.

Azad said, “Pakistan's collaborator BNP-Jamaat is trying to destabilise the country again by threatening to kill Bangabandhu's daughter as they want to stop the development spree of the country which is taking place under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”

He demanded to bring the BNP leader under trial and execute exemplary punishment for his audacious statement.

“By making Awami League win again in the upcoming national elections, the development trend of Bangladesh can be continued. And for this, I have come here to stand by the side of Faridpur Awami League and the common people of Faridpur,” said A.K Azad.

He also vowed that they will work together to win the candidature of Awami League to be nominated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the next general elections.

He also urged the Prime Minister to take necessary measures to stop illegal sand extraction from the Padma River.

Advocate Subal Chandra Saha, former president of Faridpur district Awami League, presided over the meeting attended by a good number of leaders, activists of ruling party.
