Japan trying to understand the country's overall situation: Amir Khosru

Japan is trying to understand the political and humanitarian situation in the country, BNP standing committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said after a meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Dhaka Iwama Kiminori on Sunday.

The Japanese envoy has tried to gain insight into whether the situation will remain friendly for investors even if there is a change in the government, Khosru said while talking to journalists in front of the BNP Chairperson's Office in Gulshan of the capital.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Organising Secretary Shama Obaid were present at the meeting. The embassy's first political secretary Miss Igai was also present during the meeting.
