BCC polls: Khair Abdullah 100% hopeful for a win

Awami League (AL) mayoral candidate for the Barishal City Corporation polls Abul Khair Abdullah has said he is hoping for a win.

"I am hundred per cent hopeful that I will win the polls. Voting is going well, the environment is satisfactory," Khair Abdullah said after casting his vote at around 10:30am on Monday.

"Whatever the result of the polls, I will accept it. I stand beside the people of Barishal," he added.

The AL candidate sidestepped questions about whether the incumbent mayor and his nephew Sadik Abdullah has cast his vote or not, saying, "I will not make any comment on the issue."
