BCC polls: Islami Andolan candidate Faizul allegedly attacked

Islami Andolan Bangladesh’s mayoral candidate in the Barishal City Corporation (BCC) polls Mufti Syed Mohammad Faizul Karim has claimed he was attacked by supporters of the boat symbol.

"I am their father's age. I have gone grey. But they have drawn blood from me," Faizul Karim said.

BCC polls returning officer told the Daily Samakal, "We have heard complaints from Islami Andolan Bangladesh mayoral candidate Mufti Syed Mohammad Faizul Karim about an attack. We are investigating the matter. Action will be taken against those responsible."
