BNP failed to attain support from foreigners on caretaker issue: Salman

The Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser, Salman Fazlur Rahman, said that the BNP has failed to win the support of foreigners on the issue of caretaker government.

The BNP leaders held the view that outsiders will topple Sheikh Hasina's government and appoint them (BNP) as the new ruling party, and for this, they had been looking for foreigners for a time, Salman made the comment on Monday evening in Rome, Italy, during a reception ceremony.

Dohar-Nawabganj-born Bangladeshi expats hosted the reception.

In relation to the caretaker issue, Salman asserted that they received no outside support.

He opined that Sheikh Hasina needed to be made prime minister again for Bangladesh to advance.

Salman pleaded with everyone to work together to elect an Awami League representative to every constituency.
