Stage set for peace rally of three AL-associated bodies

Preparations have been completed and the stage has been set for the peace rally of three associate bodies of the Awami League – Awami Jubo League, Sechchhasebak League and Chhatra League, to be held at the South gate of Baitul Mokarram National Mosque at 3pm on Friday.

Lakhs of AL leaders and activists are expected to arrive from Dhaka and the neighbouring districts to attend the rally.

After receiving permission from Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) to hold the rally, construction of the stage started on Thursday afternoon.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister and AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader is expected to grace the rally as the chief guest.
