Notification declaring Raushan Ershad as chairman is fake: Golam Masih

Golam Masih, political secretary to Leader of Opposition in Parliament and Chief Patron of Jatiya Party Begum Raushan Ershad, said the news that has been published in the media saying that Raushan Ershad has declared herself as the party chairman is fake.

This former ambassador said, “Begum Raushan Ershad does not know anything about this notification. Declaring herself chairman is out of the question. Some of us got excited and spread that notification to the media. They will be identified and action will be taken.”

He also said, “According to the constitution of the party, anyone cannot declare the chairman. The chairman is elected through a process.”

It was informed in a press release that Raushan Ershad has officially taken over the chairmanship of the Jatiya Party on Tuesday morning.
