PM Hasina joins BCL rally

Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has joined rally at Suhrawardi Udayan on Friday afternoon.

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of ruling Awami League (AL) is holding the biggest-ever student rally at the historical place in Dhaka.

The premier is set to address the rally. 

Leaders and activists of different units of BCL, carrying banners and festoons, have been pouring into Suhrawardy Udyan since the morning. They, divided into small groups, were chanting slogans and waving the national and BCL flags.

The rally is being held in memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Raman and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Nesa Mujib.

BCL President Saddam Hussein is presiding over the rally.
