Leaders-activists of BNP gathering for mass procession

The BNP and its like-minded opposition parties are set to hold a mass procession in the capital on Saturday.

Leaders and activists of the Dhaka South Unit of the party have already started gathering at Kamalapur for the meeting scheduled for 3pm.

This mass procession will be held as part of BNP's one-point movement, demanding the resignation of the government and the staging of general elections under a non-partisan interim administration.

The Dhaka south city unit of BNP will take out a procession from near Kamalapur Railway Station, which will end at Nayapaltan.

The north city unit will start a procession from Rampura, which will also end at Nayapaltan.

Apart from BNP, Ganotantra Mancha, 12-party alliance, Jatiyatabadi Samamona Jote, LDP, Gonoforum and People’s Party, Samamona Peshajibi Ganatantrik Jote, Gonotantrik Bam Oikya, Labour Party, Bangladesh Sadaran Chhatra Odhikar Sanrakshan Parishad and both factions of Gono Odhikar Parishad will also observe the programme separately.
