BNP rally underway in Naya Paltan

A BNP rally aiming to press home their one-point movement has started at the capital's Nayapaltan.

The rally, jointly organised by the BNP's Dhaka north and south units, kicked off in front of the BNP office at 2pm on Wednesday. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will attend the rally as the chief guest.

Work on building the stages started from the dawn. Leaders and activists of BNP and its associated bodies started showing up early at the venue.

Members of various law enforcement agencies have taken up positions around the venue in anticipation of the event.
