BNP wants to hold Oct 28 rally at Nayapaltan: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the party wants to hold Saturday’s rally in front of its Nayapaltan headquarters in the capital.

He, however, said that they had sent a letter to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in this regard but they did not yet receive approval from the police.

BNP leader also said that they would wait till the last moment for the permission to hold the rally in Nayapaltan.

Fakhrul warned the government saying that law enforcers have to take responsibility for any untoward situation if it happens.

He mentioned that BNP had earlier observed programmes peacefully and will observe Saturday’s rally peacefully.
