AL, BNP to hold rallies at south gate of Baitul Mukarram, Nayapaltan

Ruling Awami League and opposition party BNP have got permission to hold rallies on Saturday at south gate of Baitul Mukarram and Nayapaltan respectively.
Additional Commissioner (Crime and Operations) Kh Mahid Uddin of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) made the disclosure at press briefing at his office.
Both the parties got approval to hold the rallies on their desired venues in the city on 20 conditions, he said.
He, however, said Jamaat is not given permission to hold their rally at Shapla Chattar.
He cautioned saying that if someone tries to stage a rally without permission, stern legal actions will be taken against them.
