BNP-AL clash breaks out in Kakrail

Leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and BNP engaged in a clash in the capital's Kakrail area at around 11am on Saturday. One bus and eight pickup vans were vandalised in the clash.

On Saturday morning, Awami League leaders and activists were aboard the bus and pickup vans. They disembarked at Kakrail. They were walking to the AL rally to be held at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram when a disagreement between AL and BNP members broke out.

The verbal disagreement developed into a clash and BNP men vandalized the vehicles.

An additional number of police members were deployed in the area to control the situation.
