AL to hold countrywide peace rally on Sunday

Awami League (AL) will hold peace rally across the country on Sunday, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.

The announcement came from the party's rally held at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on saturday.

Quader said that BNP is a murderous and terrorists' party and for this, they have returned to their old destructive activities.

He said, "Answer must be given, who attacked the residence of the Chief Justice?"

"We will play against those who attacked the police. They will not be spared," he continued.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has called dawn-to-dusk countrywide hartal for Sunday.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir put the rally on hold and made the announcement of hartal from the grand rally at party's Nayapaltan central office in the city on Saturday.
