Peter Haas calls on Obaidul Quader

US Ambassador to Dhaka Peter D Haas has arrived at the Secretariat to pay a call on Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.

Haas is making the visit on Wednesday to deliver a letter from US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu to Quader.

Donald Lu has sent letters to the three main political parties of the country - Awami League, BNP, and Jatiya Party (JP). In the letters, he has emphasised that the US administration wants unconditional dialogue among political parties in the country.

He also stated that free, fair, and inclusive elections should be held in Bangladesh.
