AK Azad submits nomination papers for Faridpur-3

Former FBCCI president and Faridpur District Awami League Advisor AK Azad submitted nomination papers for the 12th parliament election as an independent candidate from the Faridpur-3 (Sadar) constituency.

He submitted the papers to the Returning Officer (RO) Md Kamrul Ahsan Talukder at around 3pm on Thursday.

After the submission, AK Azad spoke to the journalists. He said, "An industrial area will be built in Faridpur so there is scope for employment. Aside from that, we have constructed several educational institutes and hospitals in the area."

Replying to a question, he said, "There is no pressure on us about becoming independent candidates. Because it was announced from the party that it was not possible to offer everyone nomination, so if we contend as independent candidate, the party will not have any objections."
