Jatiya Party to vie in 283 JS seats: Chunnu

The Jatiya Party (JP) has announced that it will participate in the January 7 general election by fielding candidates in 283 constituencies of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS).

The party's Secretary General, Mujibul Haque Chunnu, stated that no alliance has been formed and no compromise has been made regarding seat sharing.

He also mentioned that there are some strategies in certain constituencies.

This announcement came after the last day of withdrawing nomination papers and after earlier uncertainty about whether JP would participate in the polls.
