Attack on independent candidates isolated incident: Quader

Attack on independent candidates by activists of the Awami League (AL) are isolated incidents, AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader said on Thursday.

"Such isolated incidents (of attack) happen during election campaigns. I don't think that independent candidates, AL candidates, or candidates of other parties need to boycott the election over this," he said.

Quader made the remark while talking to journalists at the AL president's Dhanmondi party office at noon on Thursday.
