'BNP a party of killers, Jamaat of war criminals'

Awami League (AL) President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said the BNP's politics is of arson, burning people to death and causing harm. The BNP is a party of killers, and Jamaat is a party of war criminals.

"When BNP was in power, they stole and laundered money. And when the AL tried to work to change people's fate, the BNP has created obstacles," she said at a rally held at the Sheikh Mujibur Rahman College grounds in Tungipara on Saturday.

She joined the rally at around 11:15am on Saturday, along with her sister Sheikh Rehana.

Ahead of her appearance, the rally grounds became an ocean of AL supporters. A festive mood with enthusiastic people has engulfed Tungipara. Leaders and activists of the party started to arrive at the venue early and filled up the grounds by 9:15am.

Sheikh Hasina arrived in Tungipara by road on Friday night after her rally in Barishal. On Saturday, she will first join the rally in Tungipara, and will later attend another rally in Kotalipara.
