BNP chalks out programme on Zia's birth anniversary

The BNP on Wednesday announced programmes to observe the 88th birth anniversary of its founder Ziaur Rahman.

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the programme at a press conference held at the party's Nayapaltan office in the morning.

Rizvi said a discussion will be held at the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) in the capital's Ramna at 2pm on Thursday to mark the day.

On Friday, leaders and activists of Central BNP will place wreaths at Zia's grave at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar at 11am. 

Meanwhile, the party officer countrywide will hoist the party's flags and arrange discussions and other events.
