BNP wants political gain on public sufferings: Nasim

Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim has said BNP wants to gain political interest by capitalizing on public sufferings.

Nasim was speaking at a programme on the occasion of the winter-clothes distribution programme in the city's Motijheel area on Saturday.

Referring to BNP's black flag procession, he said this party along with Jamaat wants to hinder the rule of law and economic progress so that people may suffer.

"They want to destroy the spirit of democratic values and the War of Liberation. They are enemies of 16 crore people of the country," he added.

AL joint general secretary urged all to work together to resist the terrorists like BNP-Jamaat under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

With Ward Number-10 unit of AL President Sheikh Nowsher Ali in the chair, the programme was attended, among others, by AL leaders Dilip Kumar Roy, Kamal Chowdhury and Tariq Sayeed.
