AL discussion meeting underway at Bangabandhu Avenue

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Awami League, a discussion meeting has started in front of the party's central office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital's Gulistan at 3 pm on Saturday.

Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League President Abu Ahmad Mannafi is presiding over the meeting while Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League General Secretary Humayun Kabir is conducting the gathering.

Awami League General Secretary and also Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will address the meeting as the chief guest.

The leaders and workers of AL started gathering at Bangabandhu Avenue since this afternoon.

On the other hand, at the same time, BNP is holding a rally in front of the party's central office in Nayapaltan of the capital to demand the unconditional release of party’s Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
