Fakhrul off to London

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has left home for the United Kingdom (UK) on Saturday morning on a 10-day visit.

Fakhrul along with his wife left Dhaka on a Bangladesh Biman flight at 8:20 am, said BNP media cell member Shairul Karib.

During his stay in London, Fakhrul will remain busy for political and party activities, said BNP media cell sources.

He is set to meet the party's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, who is now staying in London.

Fakhrul is expected to return home on December 11.

On his return to Dhaka, BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia may go to London for better treatment.

Later, she may also fly to the United States for further treatment.
