BNP suggests abolishing RAB

BNP has suggested abolishing the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) to the Police Administration Reform Commission.

Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, BNP standing committee member and chief of the committee formed by BNP for police administration reform, said at a press conference at the BNP Chairperson's Office in Gulshan on Tuesday. 

BNP Chairperson's advisory council member SM Zahurul Islam presented the proposal on December 5, on behalf of the party, to police reform commission chairman Safar Raz Hossain at the International Mother Language Institute. 

The police reform commission, formed by the interim government, is supposed to submit its reform report to Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus by December 31.
