BNP holds meetings with Gono Odhikar Parishad, NDM

As part of exchanging views on contemporary political issues with the allies, the BNP on Monday held separate meetings with Gono Odhikar Parishad (Moshiuzzaman faction) and the National Democratic Movement (NDM).

The meeting was held at the BNP Chairperson's Gulshan office.

In the meeting, Mia Mashiuzzaman led the delegation of his party while Bobby Hajjaj led NDM.

Briefing reporters after the meeting BNP’s Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said all contemporary issues including the tentative time of the national election announced by the interim government were discussed.

“An elected government is very important to solve the existing problems of the country. The country needs such a government as soon as possible,” he said.

Highlighting the BNP's position on this issue, the senior BNP leader said, "We will cooperate with the interim government to take the country toward democratic order."

BNP started meeting with its allies last Saturday to review the ongoing political and current economic situation of the country and decide on the next steps.
