BNP leaders, activists gather at youth rally in Nayapaltan

A massive youth rally organized by three BNP-affiliated groups—BNP, Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal—drew thousands of leaders and activists to Nayapaltan. The rallies began at 10 am with vibrant processions.

By 12:30 pm, the area buzzed with slogans and marches from participants arriving from Dhaka, Sylhet, Faridpur, and Mymensingh.

The rally, themed “Rally for the Establishment of Youth Rights,” featured a stage set up opposite the BNP central office, with microphones amplifying songs about former

President Ziaur Rahman and BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. The event is set to begin at 2 pm, with Tarique Rahman addressing the crowd virtually from London as the chief guest.

Participants, adorned with banners, T-shirts, caps, and national and party flags, energized the rally with slogans. Law enforcement agencies were visibly deployed in and around Nayapaltan for security.

The gathering stretched from Fakirapul to Kakrail More, halting all vehicle movement in the area. Throughout May, these BNP organizations have planned youth-focused seminars and rallies across four major divisions and cities, with prior events held in Chittagong, Khulna, and Bogra.
