Umama Fatema resigns from Anti-discrimination Student Movement

Umama Fatema, the former spokesperson of Anti-discrimination Student Movement, has resigned from the anti-discrimination student movement. 

She made the announcement in a Facebook post on Friday. 

In the long post, Umama highlighted the internal situation of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement, power struggles, opportunism and various aspects of irregularities.

Recently, a new committee was announced from the first council of the anti-discrimination student movement. 

Rashidul Islam (Rifat Rashid) was elected president and Md. Inamul Hasan (Hasan Imam) was given the responsibility of general secretary. 

Rumours were that Umama, a coordinator of the front line of the July uprising, did not join the political party NCP at that time because of her interest in taking charge of the platform.
