RUCSU polls: JCD activists gather to protest again

Activists of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) continued demanding inclusion of first-year students (2024–25 session) in the voter list of the upcoming Rajshahi University Central Students Union (RUCSU) election.

They took up positions in front of the administration building of Rajshahi University from 12:30pm to 2:30pm on Monday. 

They also protested the attack on JCD activists on Sunday. 

JCD activists were gathered in front of the RUCSU treasurer's office on Sunday morning to voice their demands. They allegedly vandalised the office and locked it up, preventing the distribution of nomination forms on the last day. Later, students of several other organisations clashed with JCD activists. The distribution of nomination forms resumed after 2pm. 

The election commission later held a meeting with all the parties involved in the clash, but JCD, Ganatantrik Chhatra Jote, and Chhatra Odhikar Parishad walked out of the meeting.
