One party pushing for reforms, while another trying to delay elections: Nahid

The convener of the National Citizens Party (NCP), Nahid Islam, stated that the activities of Jamaat appear to carry an intention or hidden agenda aimed at postponing the elections. 

Both the BNP and Jamaat have centered their efforts on the referendum date as the primary issue. 

One faction is undermining the reforms, whereas the other faction is working to postpone the elections, he said.

“However, we do not desire either of these outcomes. We insist on elections being conducted on schedule, and the July Charter must also receive a legitimate legal foundation. For this reason, we will urge all parties, including these two specific ones, to unite in solidarity. We aim to navigate through this challenging scenario,” said Nahid.

He made these remarks during a media briefing on the current political landscape at the party's provisional office located in Bangla Motor in the capital city on Sunday afternoon.
