Khaleda Zia joins Armed Forces Day reception at Senakunja

BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia on Friday attended the Armed Forces Day reception at Senakunja.

Following the advice of the medical board, Begum Khaleda Zia participated in the event. 

The BNP chairperson, the party's acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and other senior leaders were also invited to join the event.

Begum Zia left his Gulshan residence Firoza, to attend the event at Senakunja of Dhaka Cantonment at 4pm and reached Senakunja around 4:30 pm, according to BNP media cell.

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus held a one-on-one meeting with BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia on the sidelines of the programme. 

During the meeting, the chief adviser inquired about the physical condition of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and wished her a speedy recovery.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia thanked Prof Yunus and inquired about the physical condition of the chief advisor's wife, Afrozi Yunus and wished her well.

Khaleda Zia's youngest daughter-in-law, Syeda Sharmila Rahman, was present at the time.
