Zubaida Rahman visits Khaleda Zia at Evercare Hospital

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's wife, Zubaida Rahman, has gone to the capital's Evercare Hospital to visit party chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

Zubaida Rahman landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:45 am local time, having departed London's Heathrow Airport at 6:03 pm on Thursday evening aboard Bangladesh Biman flight BJ-302. 

She reached the hospital by 11:53 am, entering via the emergency lift to see Khaleda Zia.

BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the visit to The Daily Samakal. 

At the time, several BNP leaders were present, including Standing Committee member Selima Rahman, Mohila Dal General Secretary Sultan Ahmed, and officials from various party levels.

Khaleda Zia, 80, has been receiving treatment at Bashundhara City's Evercare Hospital since November 23 for a lung infection that deteriorated further. 

Since November 27, she has been under intensive care in the critical care unit, with special arrangements in place. 

Her treatment is overseen by a medical board of experts led by Professor Shahabuddin Talukder.
