Jatiya Party led by GM Quader announces candidates for 243 seats

The Jatiya Party, under the leadership of Chairman GM Quader, has finalized and announced its candidates for 243 constituencies ahead of the 13th parliamentary election.

Secretary General Shamim Haider Patwary revealed the final list during a press conference held at the Lakeshore Hotel in Gulshan on Friday.

Patwary stated, "Following thorough verification and selection processes, we are releasing our final candidate list today. We continue to hope that the interim government will provide the Jatiya Party with equal opportunities to compete in the elections."

He emphasized that the Jatiya Party has always prioritized electoral participation, adding that a fair, free, and inclusive national election requires all parties to have equal opportunities amid a stable law and order situation.

"This is the interim government's responsibility, but we are concerned that it is not being adequately fulfilled," he noted.

Patwary further said that party leaders and activists nationwide are eager for a vibrant and participatory election. Due to multiple aspirants in many constituencies, finalizing nominations had been challenging.

Several senior party leaders attended the press conference, including Presidium Members Mir Abdus Sabur Asud, SM Abdul Mannan, Mizanur Rahman, Haji Saifuddin Ahmed Milon, Advocate Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan, Emran Hossain Mia, Mohammad Atiqur Rahman Atiq, Iqbal Hossain Taposh, Sherifa Quader, Mostafizur Rahman Mostaq, Alamgir Sikder Lotan, Mainur Rabbi Chowdhury, Nurun Nahar Begum, Shariful Islam Jinnah, Md. Abu Taher, and Fakrul Imam.
