GM Quader's Jatiya Party announces candidates for 243 seats

GM Quader's Jatiya Party announces candidates for 243 seats in the upcoming 13th parliamentary election.

On Friday, Secretary General Shamim Haider Patwary unveiled the final list of candidates during a press conference held at Lakeshore Hotel in Gulshan.

He stated that after thorough verification and selection, the party was officially publishing its complete candidate list.

Shamim Haider expressed the party's continued hope that the interim government would provide the Jatiya Party with equal opportunities to participate in the elections. He emphasized that the Jatiya Party has always been an election-oriented political organization and stressed that the essential precondition for a fair, free, and truly participatory national election is the assurance of equal opportunities for all parties, supported by a stable and secure law-and-order situation.

He pointed out that this responsibility lies with the interim government, yet the party is deeply concerned to observe that the government appears to be failing to fulfill this duty effectively.

He further noted that Jatiya Party leaders and activists throughout the country are eagerly awaiting a festive and inclusive election with the participation of all major political forces. The presence of multiple aspiring candidates in many constituencies had made the nomination process particularly challenging for the party.

The press conference was attended by several senior Jatiya Party figures, including Presidium Members Mir Abdus Sabur Asud, SM Abdul Mannan, Mizanur Rahman, Haji Saifuddin Ahmed Milon, Advocate Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan, Emran Hossain Mia, Mohammad Atiqur Rahman Atiq, Iqbal Hossain Taposh, Sherifa Quader, Mostafizur Rahman Mostaq, Alamgir Sikder Lotan, Mainur Rabbi Chowdhury, Nurun Nahar Begum, Shariful Islam Jinnah, Md. Abu Taher, and Fakrul Imam.
