Tarique Rahman offers prayers at younger brother Koko's grave

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Saturday offered prayers at the grave of his younger brother Arafat Rahman Koko at the Banani graveyard in the city.

Tarique Rahman prayed for the eternal peace of his brother's soul. Recitation from the holy Quran was also held on the occasion.

Later, he offered prayers at his father-in-law Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan’s grave.  

Senior leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) were present during the visit.

Arafat Rahman Koko was born in Dhaka in 1969. He passed away in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on January 24, 2015, after suffering a heart attack. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Zafia Rahman and Zahia Rahman.

Koko served as a member of the Advisory Council of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) from 2003 to 2005.

Tarique Rahman returned to the country on Thursday after nearly 18 years in exile in London.
