Prove Bogura as BNP's stronghold: Tarique Rahman

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman exchanged views with leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates in his constituency Bogura-6 Sadar constituency. 

He told the leaders and activists, “You are saying that Bogura is the base of BNP, show through the votes that Bogura is truly the base of BNP. It is your responsibility to protect this base.”

On Saturday at 11:30 am, he further said in a meeting with party leaders and activists in the Chilimpur area of the city, “You have to work hard to make BNP candidates win in the seven seats of Bogura. You have to go to the people. Why should I stay - you will vote for the BNP's paddy; it is your responsibility. You will go door to door with small groups of voters. You will convince the people - if BNP can form the government, Bogura will develop like before, the whole country will develop as well.”

He also said that the way you won with a huge vote for your madam, you will win in this election in the same way.

Tarique Rahman said, “We will all work together. Together, we will develop the country and the people of the country.”

The meeting, chaired by District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha, was also attended by BNP Chairman's Adviser, District BNP Former President Advocate Mahbur Rahman, Former Member of Parliament and Adviser to BNP Chairman Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, Former District BNP President VP Saiful Islam, Former District BNP General Secretary Joynal Abedin Chan, District BNP Leader Ali Azgar Talukder Hena, KM Khairul Basar, Shahidun Nabi Salam, Hamidul Haque Chowdhury Hiru, Zia Ali, Maftun Ahmed Rubel and others. 

Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu said that Muslims around the world considered martyred President Ziaur Rahman as the friend of Allah Pak. He was just, honest and truthful. 

After this, Tarique Rahman, on his way to Sirajganj, addressed a road meeting in Majhira, Shahjahanpur Upazila of Bogra-7 constituency. 

There, he sought votes for BNP candidate Morshed Milton, saying, "Your area will be developed through Milton. I cannot talk much in front of you. If you take more time as a family man; then how will I find time for the people of other districts."
