Tarique Rahman assures to form Faridpur Division

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman addressed an election rally organised by Faridpur Division BNP unit at the Government Rajendra College ground in Faridpur on Wednesday afternoon. 

He arrived by helicopter at the nearby Faridpur Stadium ground around 2:40 pm, then proceeded to the stage by car at approximately 2:55 pm, and began his speech at 3:21 pm.

In his address, Tarique Rahman assured the audience that if forming Faridpur as a division would resolve the region's issues, the BNP would take that step and solve the problem. 

He questioned why, despite claims of significant development across various areas, the party's candidates were still highlighting so many local challenges. 

He emphasised that the true source of BNP's strength lies with the people, and the country can only progress when it has a government truly accountable to them.

He outlined the party's plans if the people vote for BNP on the 12th February. 

Noting that river erosion remains a major issue in this agriculturally rich region, he said that preventing it would allow Greater Faridpur to boost exports of high-quality jute and earn valuable foreign exchange. 

To support farmers, the party would introduce farmers' cards to ensure access to quality seeds and fertilizers for better crop production.

Tarique Rahman also highlighted unemployment as a key concern in the area. 

If BNP comes to power, he said, it would establish specialised factories across regions to create dignified job opportunities. 

He stressed that progress cannot happen by leaving women behind, so the party would provide family cards to women, offering targeted assistance to hardworking families.
