Oikyafront wants to hold rally at Suhrawardy Udyan Nov 6

The newly-floated political alliance Jatiya Oikyafront wants to hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the city on November 6.     

On behalf of the Oikyafront, BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the plan at a press conference at the party's Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka on Friday.   

"We have already completed all official formalities for the November 6 rally and sought permission. We sent separate letters to the Suhrawardy Udyan authority and the police in this regard," he said.    

A meeting of Jatiya Oikyafront leaders ahead of the rally will be held at the BNP's Nayapaltan central office around 11:00am on Saturday, Rizvi added.
