BNP leader Hafiz arrested

BNP Vice Chairman Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed has been arrested from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday night.

Police arrested the BNP leader after he returned home from Singapore and he was taken to Pallabi police station at night, said Senior BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

Hafiz was shown arrested in a case filed by Pallabi police station under the Information Technology Act.

Condemning the incident, Rizvi demanded his release immediately.
