Raushon elected JaPa Chief Patron, GM Quader Chairman

Raushon Ershad has been elected as Chief Patron of Jatiya Party (JaPa) while GM Quader has been elected as its chairman.

Chief Election Commissioner Advocate Sirajul Islam announced their names at the ninth conference of the party on Saturday at the Engineers' Institution in the capital.

Councilors who were present at the conference passed it by voice vote.

The party's chairman, GM Quader, elected Moshiur Rahman Ranga as the secretary general of the Jatiya Party.

JaPa Secretary General Moshiur Rahman Ranga was present in the council. Raushon Ershad was not seen attended in the meeting but her strong supporter Anisul Islam Mahmud joined the meeting.

In a meeting held on Friday in the party's Banani office with party chairman GM Quader in the chair took decision that GM Quader will remain in the post of chairman and will enjoy the highest power in the party. 

It is also decided that Jatiya Party is going to create a new post, chief patron, for party founder HM Ershad’s widow Raushon Ershad and she will hold the highest position in the party as long as she is alive.
