Papia arrested as per PM's order: Quader

Stating that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was aware of ousted Jubo Mohila League leader Shamima Nur Papia, Awami League general secretary and road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader said the premier had ordered to arrest Papia and bring her under trial through investigation.

He told reporters after a programme at the Setu Bhaban at Mohakhali in the capital on Tuesday.

The minister said, now none will be spared after doing misdeeds. He, however, said that the BNP, while it was in power, has no record of arresting a wrongdoer leader.

Obaidul Quader said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has shown good courage in this regard from her end and she is directing to arrest those party men involved in offenses.
