Islamic Front demands banning of Hefazat-e-Islam, Khilafah Majlish

The Bangladesh Islamic Front has demanded that Hefazat-e-Islam should be banned, accusing the party men of being involved in immoral and militant activities.

At the same time, they demanded the banning of the Khilafat Majlish on charges of militant involvement.

The demand was made at a press conference organized by the Islamic Front at the Chittagong Press Club auditorium on Thursday.

Senior Joint Secretary General Principal SUM Abdus Samad read out a written statement on behalf of the party's secretary general MA Matin at the press meet chaired by Bangladesh Islamic Front chairman MA Mannan.

A six-point proposal was presented in the meeting to protest the anarchy in the name of Islam and to resolve the ongoing political-religious instability in Bangladesh.
