Gazipur mayor Jahangir Alam showcaused

The Awami League has served showcause notice to Gazipur Awami League general secretary and city mayor Jahangir Alam Sarkar for acting against the interests of the Awami League and violating organizational discipline.

Awami League office secretary Barrister Biplob Barua confirmed this information to The Daily Samakal.

He said a letter signed by the party's general secretary Obaidul Quader had been sent to Jahangir on Sunday.

The letter asked Mayor Jahangir to respond to the showcause notice within 15 days.
