Mirza Fakhrul calls press conference in the afternoon

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called a press conference at the BNP chairperson's Gulshan office on Thursday.

Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP chairperson's press wing, told The Daily Samakal on Thursday morning that the press conference would be held at 3.30 pm.

It was not immediately clear what Mirza Fakhrul would say at the press conference. However, it is believed that the press conference was called to respond to Khaleda Zia's medical remarks at a press conference held by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban on Wednesday afternoon.

Besides, the latest physical condition of Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the city, may also be informed at the conference.

On November 13, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital. She has been kept in the critical care unit (CCU) of the hospital.

The party has not yet officially announced anything regarding Khaleda’s latest health condition to the media.
