Hefazat-e-Islam secretary general dies

Hefazat-e-Islam Secretary General Nurul Islam has died at Lab Aid Hospital in the capital on Monday.

Hefazat-e-Islam's publicity secretary Maulana Mohiuddin Rabbani said Nurul Islam breathed his last at around 12:30 pm.

Maulana Mir Idris, organizing secretary of Hefazat-e-Islam, said Nurul Islam was admitted to Labaid Hospital in Dhaka around 9pm last Saturday after falling ill.

He also said Nurul Islam's janaza will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital today [Monday] after Esha prayers.
