BNP now an isolated political party: Obaidul Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that BNP is now such a political party which is isolated from the people.

He said this while addressing as the chief guest at the triennial conference of Sirajganj district Awami League on Monday morning. 

Quader, also General Secretary of Awami League, joined the ceremony virtually from the government residence in the capital.

The Awami League is the only well-organized and strong political party in the country at the moment under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, he said.

Obaidul Quader said, “The two top leaders of the BNP are convicted accused. According to the law, they will not be able to participate in the next national election. Therefore, the BNP, isolated from the people, has been conspiring to come to power through conspiracy.”

The general secretary of the Awami League said the rules of the party must be followed if you hold AL as the day of giving party nomination by irregularities is over.

Quader said the AL men have to face more difficult challenges in the next election as compared to the last election. 

“So we have to prepare 100 percent from now on,” he continued.
