MNP bidding Sep 21

The bidding to appoint mobile number portability (MNP) operator will be held on September 21.

Bidders would have to submit their documents from the next week. However, the mobile phone operators and foreign companies will not be eligible for taking part in the bidding.

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) chief Shahjahan Mahmood disclosed the information at a media briefing on Tuesday.

“MNP service will begin at the end of this year while the subscribers will have to pay Tk 30 for this service and will take 90 days to take effect” he said.
